We are concerned Lansdowne residents and businesses who oppose Dominion’s radical and ill-conceived proposal to mount high voltage transmission lines and towers on Route 7. 

 

We recognize Dominion must provide service to data centers and the public.  The means by which they deliver that power requires more extensive planning and engagement with the residents who will be directly affected by these lines.  Irreparable harm will be done to our long-established community, our historic sites, and scenic green-space if the current proposal is allowed to proceed unchanged.  

 

Our Board of Supervisors, and the opinions of County officials do carry weight in the approval process.   We respectfully request the Board of Supervisors to work with Dominion, data centers, and affected residents to allow a full and proper local vetting of alternative routes and interests to occur.
